I spent the first half of 2014 updating the UX framework for checkout flow for Motorola.com and Motomaker; a customization interface for the Moto line of products.

For a holistic view of the overall flow to test and document changes, I mapped the full purchase flow to capture all the required steps for buying a customized phone.
TRANSITIONS & ANIMATIONS
We learned from the previous version of Motomaker that users want to learn about the phone while designing it. To capitalize on the insight, we defined a framework that enabled seamless transitions between the Configurator and detailed product content.
We made sure the configurator was understandable and easy to use by testing two prototypes with real users. The user favored the vertical toolset and provided a great deal of feedback on the UI details.
